Monitoring Features

  • Automatic Discovery
  • State Evaluation
    • Set user-defined thresholds (fixed or percentage) for a given duration to evaluate network health.
  • Category-based monitoring

State evaluation for Networks

Nodinite displays each monitored network card as a Resources. For example, monitoring 3 Windows Servers with 2 network cards each results in 6 'Network' resources in Nodinite.

  • The Resources name matches the network card (NIC) name in Windows.
  • The 'Network' resource belongs to the following Category:
Category Description
Network Ensure available network capacity stays within user-defined monitoring thresholds

Categories
List of the Network-related category as a filter in a Monitor View.

  • The Application name is the Display Name from the configuration of the monitored Windows Server:
    Application Path Example

Each item (presented in Nodinite as a Resources) is evaluated with a state: OK, Warning, Error, or Unavailable.

You can reconfigure state evaluation at the Resources level using the Expected State feature.

Note

Depending on the user-defined synchronization interval for the Windows Server Monitoring Agent, there may be a delay before Nodinite Web Client/Monitor Views reflect changes. Click Sync All (or use the dropdown for individual agent selection) to force a resynchronization.
